BMW 2002 Race Tuned

Sometimes I come across cars that I would just love to have more info on. I found these three photos of a BMW 2002 set up for track use. I'm not sure if the widebody is custom or was produced at sometime in this cars history. What especially stands out to me are those period correct and well discontinued magnesium BBS race wheels. I can't even guess what they would bring if you could ever manage to find some for sale. Equally cool, note the trick Porsche brakes hiding behind the basket weave spokes of the BBS wheels. I'm sure the rest of the car lives up to those marks.
