Wangan Reborn

Contentment is perhaps the most elusive element in an automotive project, and like many, the owner of the Top Secret R34 from yesterdays feature found that as wonderful as high speed life was, track racing was preferable. The car was noticeably shifted to be more competitive on the circuit, such as Tsukuba pictured below. The exterior was redone with the help of the NIsmo R-Tune catalogue. This provided a new front bumper which shares the dry carbon lip from the Top Secret piece, as well as a dry carbon hood and vented fenders. The rear wing also received a lower carbon stay, an interesting touch. The brakes were increased to 8-pots from the factory 4 and use rotors measuring over 15 inches. I can't imagine what that pedal feel must be like. Engine revision is kept to smaller HKS units limiting the car to a paltry 550 hp. Of course the car has also been re-sprayed from Bayside Blue to a custom mixed gray containing over 5 layers of pearl clear. This is build evolution at its finest.

  1. I love how he still has the leather seats, full interior, radio etc...and yet the strangely shiny but very used engine bay :D
