So things are changing big time for Ashley and I and as such I have been disparagingly slow with updates. In an attempt to re-capsulate life, I'll start with the core and revolve out from there. I honestly never intended to ever sell the STi, I just couldn't imagine I would find something to break that connection and move on. I was wrong. We have been house shopping and lately have found a home that we simply love. While the jury is somewhat out on what will happen to the car, I have found in the talks, plans, and goals just how much more fulfilling and important this project will be. And standing on the other side of this choice the objective distance I have gained from my STi project is essentially proper and rewarding. We will be taking a long look at the home tomorrow and hopefully we will have more solid news on this aspect very soon.
Now since this is an automotive-priority blog, I'll get to where I stand on that issue. There is always a chance that the car will stay on with me, continue its road, and that's that, but I think that once she comes out of paint I would be passing up a fantastic opportunity to send her to a new home. For a replacement I've tiered my considerations:
I.
-BMW E46 M3
-Datsun Z
-Datsun 510
-Nissan 300zx 2+2
II.
-BMW E34 5 series
-Honda DA Integra
-Honda DC2 Integra
-Honda EG Civic Hatch
-Honda EK Civic Hatch
-Toyota Corolla GT-S
Obviously the first tier cars are my key interests but the second tier vehicles represent options that I think present too much quality to be completely disregarded. Whatever this car may be, this project will be rather different from my current one; namely that this car will be modified in a way to increase daily enjoyment over track performance. A diametrical shift from where I am. Feel free to weigh in on any preferences you may have, and I will do my best to document these changes as they occur.
