When it's not busy occupying the spot as my favorite German build, Brent's Karmann Ghia is found in the slow progression from NA to turbo. For most people this would be a weekend to week long kit affair, but to Brent the passion for drivability, tunabilty, and perfectibility necessitates a much harder path. The kind of home built setup that means hundreds of hours researching and discussing setup ideas and a resulting car that stings of thoughtfulness through and through. Always admirable and never easy, I look to this car to be the little build that could, and to Brent for new found appreciation of automotive life, complete with its ups and downs always weathered with patience.
Regrettably this machine received a nose job over the weekend, thanks to some guys girlfriend with the help of a 2:30 a.m. desire to move his SUV to the other side of the parking lot. I imagine alcohol made it a trio. I loathe how completely careless people can be to have this disregard for anything they do in their car. If you hit someone, at least have the courage to apologize and restore what you did.
